Medical & AI disclaimer
Withdrawal can be medically serious
Kratom and especially 7-OH act on opioid receptors. Stopping after heavy or long use can cause severe symptoms. Some people — particularly those with heart conditions, pregnancy, other substance use, or mental-health conditions — should not quit without medical supervision. Nothing in Unleaf replaces a doctor's judgment about your situation.
The withdrawal timeline is general
Our day-by-day timeline reflects commonly reported experiences, not a prediction for you. Your symptoms may be milder, worse, earlier, later, or different.
Supplement information is community-reported, not a protocol
The supplements listed in Unleaf are ones people in the kratom-quitting community commonly report using. We do not recommend doses and we are not telling you to take any of them. Some interact with medications; some are dangerous at high doses. In particular: high-dose loperamide (Imodium) has caused deaths. Never megadose it. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before taking anything.
The Companion and Analyze are AI
The Companion chat and the written "Analyze" insights are generated by an AI language model (Anthropic's Claude). They are designed to be supportive and informed about withdrawal, but an AI can be wrong, can misunderstand you, and has no knowledge of your medical history. Treat what it says as a conversation with a well-read friend, not a clinician. It is always labeled as AI in the app.
Crisis
If you are thinking about harming yourself, or you're in danger: call or text 988 (US), call emergency services, or contact SAMHSA at 1-800-662-4357 (free, 24/7, confidential). The Companion will surface these resources when it detects crisis language, but it is not a crisis service.
Patterns and correlations are not diagnoses
When Unleaf says something like "on days you logged magnesium, your sleep averaged higher," that is a correlation in your own logged data. It is not evidence that one caused the other, and it is not a medical finding.
